Clearwater Community Volunteers Fashions With Flair
The Annual "Fashions with Flair" Fashion Show and Silent Auction fundraiser was first held by the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) in 2003, at the Belleair Country Club. Around 400 people attend each year from the greater Clearwater region.

Since our inception in 1994, CCV has raised money, food and toys for family and children's charities such as the Boys & Girls Club, Everybody's Tabernacle's Homeless Emergency Project, the C.L. Kennedy Community Center in Tampa, the Red Cross, Victims of Katrina and CCV adopted a 27-man platoon troop in Iraq.

CCV is the volunteer arm of the Church of Scientology in Clearwater and is a non-profit charitable organization made up entirely of volunteers. CCV produces the huge Easter Egg Hunt in Coachman Park in Clearwater every spring and "Winter Wonderland" - its annual holiday charity drive in downtown Clearwater featuring 5 village buildings, 90 live pine trees, a fully functioning stage with entertainment, tens of thousands of tiny white lights, pony & train rides, a playground, a giant slide and bouncy house, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus.

In addition to raising funds for our annual holiday charity drive, Winter Wonderland, this year's proceeds will benefit a wonderful organization: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Northern Florida, Suncoast RegionŽ. We are excited to be working with this worthwhile organization. Click here if you would like to donate goods or services to the Silent Auction.

The day's events include a silent auction, great food, entertainment and many surprise guests in attendance, as well as participating in the fashion show as models.

The 2009 show featured exquisite fashions from Ambria's of St. Petersburg, MJ's Fashions and Gifts from Dunedin, Kina Kouture of Dunedin and Ware-haus Boutique of Clearwater. The huge silent auction had something for everyone with well over 300 items priced from $5 to thousands, including wonderful items from crafts and baked goods to celebrity items, tons of gift certificates, art, gift baskets, designer jewelry and much more.

As is traditional, the beautifully unique fashions were modeled by some of the loveliest leading ladies in our community. The 2009 line up of models included Julie Ryczek, Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Spokesperson in the fight against child obesity, Ann Kelly Radio Host of "Late Afternoon Magic" The New Magic 94.9, Luz E. Nagle, Professor of Law at Stetson University College, Margaret Word Burnside, Editor of the Tampa Bay Magazine, Bahiyyah Sadiki, President of St. Petersburg Islamic Center, Lorena Rivas Hardwick, Tampa Mayor's Hispanic Liaison, Courtney Orr, City of Clearwater's Downtown Manager, Karla Rettstatt, Belleair Tax Commissioner, Kate Behler Hart, Educator/Model, Pat Harney, Director of Public Affairs and Lisa Mansell, Public Affairs for the Church of Scientology. We are proud to have had their support and friendship.
