The Annual "Fashions with Flair"
Fashion Show and Silent Auction fundraiser was first held by the Clearwater Community
Volunteers in 2003, at the Belleair Country Club. Around 400 people attend each year from the
greater Clearwater region.
Since our start in 1994, Clearwater Community
Volunteers have raised money, food and toys for
family and children's charities such as the Boys
& Girls Club, Everybody's Tabernacle's Homeless
Emergency Project, the C.L. Kennedy Community
Center in Tampa, the Red Cross, Victims of Katrina
and Winter Wonderland. Proceeds from the last
4 Fashion Shows—more than $75,000—have
helped some of these charities.
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit a wonderful organization—the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida®! We are excited to be working with this worthwhile organization.
The day's events include a silent auction, great
food, entertainment and many surprise guests in
attendance, as well as participating in the fashion
show as models.
Since its inception, our Fashion Show models have
included numerous women notable for their leadership
roles in our community, such as Pinellas County
Commissioner Susan Latvala, Florida House Representative
Kim Berfield, Cat Coats, wife of Pinellas Country
Sheriff Jim Coats, Kay Dillinger, wife of 6th
Judicial Circuit Public Defender Bob Dillinger,
Dr. Linda McClintock Greco, wife of former Tampa
major Dick Greco, Margaret Word-Burnside, Editor
of Tampa Bay Magazine, Pat Harney, Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology,
Lisa Mansell, Deputy Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology,
and Seema Desai, wife of Dr. Ashkay Desai.
We are proud to have their support and friendship.
